This marks Bvlgari’s second participation in the TimeForArt auction, which will be held in New York in December 2026. Through this biennial event, the Swiss Institute has developed an original model of cultural patronage. In partnership with Phillips in As sociation with Bacs & Russo, the sale of exceptional timepieces directly supports the development of the contemporary art scene. The entire proceeds – including buyers' premiums – go to the New York institution to fund its activities. Exhibitions, artists' residencies, public programmes, educ ational workshops and community engagement initiatives – all offered free of charge – enable tomorrow's artists to develop their practice, both in the creation of new work and in the way it is presented to the public.
On this occasion, Bvlgari unveils a unique Serpenti Seduttori Automatic, a new interpretation of its iconic serpent, the enduring symbol of femininity, vitality and perpetual renewal. Inspired by Greco -Roman Antiquity, its sinuous lines have become one of the Maison's unmistakable signatures. Born of a contemporary artistic vision, the Serpenti Seduttori Automatic – TimeForArt Edition unites the raw beauty of Verde Alpi marble with the powerful design language of Serpenti. Bvlgari selected this natural stone for its historical significance, its provenance and its distinctive aesthetic. Greece and Ancient Rome, whose artistic heritage has profoundly shaped that of the Maison, are renowned for their use of marble, here reinter preted as a precious dial. This richly coloured variety is quarried in Italy's Aosta Valley, forming a symbolic bridge between Bvlgari's Italian and Swiss centres of excellence.
The serpent keeps pace with time through a mechanical calibre, the automatic BVS100 Lady Solotempo. Manufactured at Bvlgari's Haute Horlogerie manufacture in Le Sentier, in the Vallée de Joux, it displays the hours, minutes and seconds while offering a 50 -hour power reserve. The transparent case back, engraved with the inscription “Unique Piece - TimeForArt,” reveals an oscillating weight decorated with snake -scale motifs together with the Maison's logo.
Born from the union of Italian style and jewellery expertise with Swiss mechanical watchmaking savoir-faire, the Serpenti Seduttori Automatic – TimeForArt Edition offers a new contemporary artistic vision of the iconic Serpenti. Through this donation, Bvlg ari is delighted to contribute to the dynamism of today's creative scene and to join patrons and collectors in New York this coming December.
