Focus on the Richard Lange Minute Repeater

After a successful return in the 2013 Grand Complication model, followed by an appearance on Zeitwerk creations in 2015 and 2020, the minute repeater is back this year with the Richard Lange Minute Repeater. This new version has a more restrained style, attired in simple colors and a sleek dial. With no frills or additional complications, the 2022 vintage focuses on the complexity of its striking mechanism, with a 69th new caliber comprising 415 parts (including 191 for the minute repeater).

The 69th Symphony

This new movement, which aims for excellence, features a hammer-blocking system (so that the hammers do not bounce off the gongs) as well as a mechanism that eliminates the pauses generated by the absence of a quarter-hour strike (thereby moving on more quickly to sounding the minutes). To protect the precious mechanism, the engineers have equipped it with a device that pre¬vents the user from activating the minute repeater when the crown is pulled out, or from pulling the crown when the timepiece is chiming – thus enabling secure enjoyment of its symphony in complete safety.
