Fabergé adds a touch of warmth to its award-winning Lady Compliquée collection with a new model of the black dial version in a rose-gold case. The intricate dial is illustrated with deep black lacquer and a refined peacock at the heart of the watch, providing a chic, contemporary look. This new variation offers women a feminine and complicated timepiece without jewelled embellishment, which is therefore suitable for everyday wear.
The ingenious movement displays the hours on a peripheral disc, which rotates anti-clockwise and is read against the crown at 9 o'clock. The passing minutes are shown by the peacock's tail feathers, which unfurl over a period of 60 minutes, returning to zero at the top of each hour. Four pivoting blades fan out simultaneously, each moving independently and at a different speed to each of the others.
The Fabergé Lady Compliquée Peacock is a tribute to Peter Carl Fabergé, and in particular his "Peacock Egg" of 1908. Its three-dimensional dial further enhances the theatrical effect. Aesthetically, the movement presents a rich series of decorations that showcase its architecture and enhance its traditional character.
