Focus on the 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen

Montblanc’s thirst for exploration has been given a new boost with the 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen, worn by mountaineer Simon Messner (son of the legend Reinhold Messner, also a Montblanc ambassador) during his ascent of Mont Blanc without supplementary oxygen. The distinctive feature spelled out in its name prevents the movement from fogging up due to temperature variations and from oxidizing, thus preserving its components and its accuracy. This limited series is also distinguished by its frosted dial with a blue glacier motif, inspired by the glaciers of Mont Blanc, which required months of research and development. The different shades of blue on the dial contrast elegantly with the rose-gilt hands and numerals, as well as with the bronze of the case and the black ceramic bezel indicating the cardinal points. Having enjoyed a close encounter with this model when it was launched by Bucherer, I can confirm that this watch features an aesthetic verging on perfection.
