Jumping hours

A movement in which the hour hand is replaced by a disc. The hour is shown through an aperture. Time is not marked by turning hands but jumps instead: a number is displayed in an aperture and then disappears as soon as the next hour arrives. This numerical display requires a rotating disc featuring all 12 hours. With the jumping hour display, the numerals remain static instead of being on continuous display.
