Owners of mechanical timepieces are keenly aware of the all-important power-reserve indication, which reveals the state of energy of a watch or clock, or how long a watch or clock will continue running without being wound.
With the Borgeaud Septagraph TM, the evocative curved stylised arrow, emerging from the SP (Strategic Period) capsule, serves as a “time-reserve indicator” that shows the flow of intensely personal time during a full one and half hours when the world keeps turning without the wearer taking any ostensible action.
Running between 3 and 4 o'clock, the “reverse hour-glass”, fills up with a colour that gradually drains away during the 90 minutes of the current “strategic period”. It is carefully synchronised with the dedicated off-set counter and its jumping hand indicating the day of the week and the start of each corresponding period. Exceedingly clever and prestigiously seductive, it proves a supremely useful tool in setting appointments with oneself, obviously with others, and thus in planning a well-balanced weekly schedule.
Dial-making is a complex and sophisticated art calling for a broad range of skills, all of which are admirably embodied in the multi-layered face of the Septagraph TM. Dainty relief work and alternating engraved or snailed zones both embellish and enhance the legibility of this unique vision of time.The elegant manually polished and chamfered hands run gracefully over an hourcircle distinguished by an appealing dialogue between hand-applied gold numerals that are Roman on the upper part of the dial and Arabic on the lower part.Positioned just to the right of the special day-of-the-week and ‘time-out' counter, the Strategic Period (SP) capsule from which the time-reserve arrow emerges sets the final visual seal on a model that naturally lends itself to various subtle aesthetic variations, both now and in the future.
This handsome guardian of your very own time is secured to the wrist by a perfectly integrated alligator leather strap fitted with a signature-design rose or white gold pin buckle. An optional, soon to be released, gold bracelet will complete the initial collection.The movement behind the magicThe 25-jewel self-winding Calibre BRG 11501 beats at a rate of 28'800 vibrations per hour and is endowed with a 42-hour power reserve. The exceptionally wide sapphire crystal case-back ensures a particularly broad vision entirely in harmony with the cosmic themes displayed on the front and offering captivating views of the movement as well as its surround.
The outer casing ring with its distinctive “minute track” motif, similar to the system used by watchmakers from around 1700 to 1900, serves both to hold the movement and to position it correctly without needing to turn the watch over. The openworked oscillating rotor featuring a B-shaped brand signature forms a delightful moving frame distinguished by handsome rose gold/white gold contrasts and alternately revealing or concealing various parts of the elegantly hand-engraved and polished movement adorned with Côtes de Genève, circular-graining, chamfered bridges and gently sloping collars.
The A10 base movement is enriched with a dedicated complication module specifically produced by Borgeaud, and the resulting mechanism also offers plenty of scope for future developments that may feature future combinations of complications.

Swiss manufactured 6 pieces multi-level white dial, with gravage, azurage and opalin treatments. Hand-applied Roman and Arabic numerals faceted indexes in gold 18ct and gold 18ct appliques. Hands made beveling and finishing hours and minutes hands.
CASE
46mm Swiss manufactured pink gold 18ct with an elegant and unique construction featuring case-band extension to the lugs. Stylized crown with Borgeaud monogram.
Convex sapphire with anti-reflective treatment and transparent back cover.
Water-resistant to 50 metres. Numbers engraved on the back cover.
