For the tenth consecutive year, Breguet chose to lend its support to the Geneva International Music Competition, where talented young musicians are honoured and some are even offered a chance to record a CD. Several prizes are awarded annually.

In the String Quartet final held on November 20th, and for the first time in the competition's history, two First Prizes were awarded: one to the Armida Quartett from Germany; and the second to the Quatuor Hermès from France. These eight youthful talents each enjoyed the privilege of receiving a Breguet watch.

The jury, composed of Geneva International Music Competition judges and discerning music-lovers, also made a point of rewarding the Quatuor Hermès for its magnificent interpretation of “Ainsi la nuit” for string quartet composed by Henri Dutilleux and of Beethoven's Quartet N°12 in E flat major Op. 127, by awarding it the “Coup de Coeur Breguet” Special Prize. This prize offers the winners a chance to record a CD in order to develop their already promising artistic career.

Within this context of fostering burgeoning vocations, the young Korean pianist who won the “Coup de Coeur Breguet” Special Prize in 2010, Hyo Joo Lee, was officially presented with her CD during the Gala Dinner of
