In 2025, we have been celebrating our 25th anniversary, alongside other milestones of brands that continue to inspire devotees of fine watchmaking and collectors belonging to that same "GMT generation": 120 years of Rolex, 150 years of Audemars Piguet, 250 years of Breguet, 270 years of Vacheron Constantin and 290 years of Blancpain. This undoubtedly explains why the 2025 watchmaking vintage is proving spectacular in terms of Grand Complications. It might even mark the end of an exceptional development cycle - of which the latest achievements are featured in this winter edition. The watchmaking dimension is becoming increasingly important, generating emotions and triggering the all-important desire that leads to the act of purchase.
This is confirmed by the comments of three CEOs (representing the three key groups active in watchmaking) who analyze their brands' approach; in our "Innovation" feature on materials; as well as by the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève for which we present the prize-winners. Similarly, this observation is striking when admiring Audemars Piguet's RD#5 featured on our cover: a pure distillation of expertise closely combining ergonomics with horological ingenuity. Pushing boundaries and surprising aficionados was Vacheron Constantin's leitmotif in this commemorative year - to an unprecedented degree. The Manufacture opened its doors, its drawers and its heart to us. Ours is beating at 100 miles an hour.
