Polo on snow, a true success story

Here, as in Windsor, Jaipur or even Dubai, Cartier plays host in the most privileged sense of the term as a sponsor of this elite sport, which simultaneously requires team spirit, agility, reactivity, passion and a taste for excellence. Cartier upholds these values to such an extent that it believed in the possibility of this sport being played on snow over 25 years ago. As part of this highly original venture, the company commissioned the creation of special horseshoes that would offer the horses a better grip. The success of this event endorses Cartier's enthusiasm for polo on snow – a sport that reflects a certain lifestyle for which Cartier remains a pioneer.

For this 25th anniversary of the Cartier Polo World Cup on Snow in St Moritz, Cartier has created the Maillet d'Or, a new trophy for which rival teams will compete each winter in the renowned ski resort.

A fine example of jewellery craftsmanship, Cartier's Maillet d'Or pays tribute to the vitality and elegance of polo through both the precious nature of its noble materials and the vigour of its powerful design. This prestigious trophy will fuel the passion of all enthusiasts of this exceptional sport.
