CHANEL treats this treasured stone with procedures that until now were reserved for only the most precious gems. Diamonds, colored stones and ceramic all require the same precision handwork on the same workshop tables.

For the first time in the world, the same respect and cutting techniques are used to craft these 724 grains of black light into baguette cuts: ceramic reflects the challenge of new luminosity. Creative tension and an aesthetic approach: the “J12” is adorned with a deep, intense black that emphasizes the powerful lines of the watch. This model is the result of the exceptional craftsmanship performed at CHANEL's watch workshops at La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland.

CHANEL decided to enhance this “J12” with an automatic three-hand Fine Watch-making movement in partnership with AUDEMARS PIGUET, one of the most prestigious Swiss Fine Watch-making manufacturers. The 3125 movement is a result of a fusion between the AP 3120 and the ceramic of the “J12” for which CHANEL has redesigned the balance bridge and the rotor in gold crowned with black ceramic. hus is born the automatic movement: CHANEL Caliber – AP 3125.
