What happens when motorsport insiders decide to build a watch brand from scratch? The answer is Lorige and it's anything but ordinary.
Based near Geneva, Lorige was co-founded by three motorsport veterans, Clément Etienvre, Philippe Dumas and Emeric Paraud, who channelled over a decade of racing expertise into watchmaking. Brazilian racing driver and brand ambassador Pipo Derani explains why he joined the project: a genuine admiration for its bold, from-scratch approach. The brand's standout innovation is Carbon-Carbon, a material originally developed for aeronautics to withstand temperatures above 900°C, which Lorige spent three years adapting into watch cases. Future plans include new partnerships, notably with Aston Martin Endurance Racing Team and an expansion into aeronautics-inspired timepieces.
