1860: Jean-Eugène Robert Houdin created the first mysterious clock whose mechanism was hidden in the base.Basel 2009: Dior presents their first Dior Christal timepiece doted with the only sapphire crystal mysterious movement for a wristwatch developed by the Quinting Manufacture, thanks to the talent of five engineers (three Swiss watchmakers, an automative engineer and an electro technical engineer) who dreamed for seven years and who invested ten million Swiss francs in this project.
Created in the Parisian studios of Dior Avenue Montaigne, the adornment of geometric inserts of mother-of-pearl and metallization is inspired by Art Deco and Cinetic Art.
