Frédérique Constant’s slogan is “Live your passion”. But the watchmaker is not just passionate about watches; it is also passionately committed to a number of charitable causes.

A generous benefactor
Frédérique Constant takes its social responsibilities very seriously. Since 2004 this independent watchmaker has been committed to supporting heart disease and children’s health charities. The Frédérique Constant Foundation is involved in a number of philanthropic activities in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. It has provided financial support to various aid organisations including the International Children’s Heart Foundation, the American Heart Association, the Hong Kong Children’s Heart Foundation and Paint a Smile, which raised money to decorate the paediatric cardiology unit of Beijing’s Children’s Hospital.
In 2012 the Foundation entered into a multi-year partnership with the World Heart Federation, which aims to combat heart disease and stroke in low- and middle-income countries.
In 2014 the brand announced a partnership with the Global Gift Foundation, thus reaffirming its support for underprivileged children. In the context of this relationship the Frédérique Constant Foundation has been involved in charitable activities with the Eva Longoria Foundation, which aims to build a better future for families in Latin America, and the Ricky Martin Foundation, which works in the fields of education, health and social justice to promote the wellbeing of children worldwide.

Frédérique Constant also supports women’s causes. The brand recently sponsored a series of events promoted by Variety Power of Women, which rewards and recognises the contribution of influential women in bringing attention to worthy causes. The most recent event took place on 9 October last year in Los Angeles, when some of Hollywood’s most altruistic women were chosen by Variety Magazine to be Lifetime Impact Honorees. As watch sponsor Frédérique Constant donated a Ladies’ Automatic Heart Beat watch to be auctioned off by each of the ladies’ chosen charities.

But Frédérique Constant’s generosity does not stop there: for every watch in the Ladies’ Automatic and Delight collections sold, $50 will be donated to charity.
The Ladies’ Automatic Heart Beat is virtually synonymous with Frédérique Constant’s image; the open dial that grants visual access to the movement within has become a signature of the brand. Last December four new models were added to this iconic collection. Subtle or sparkling with a diamond-set bezel, the Ladies’ Automatic Heart Beat has a mother-of-pearl dial enhanced with guilloché in the centre, set with diamonds, and featuring applied Arabic numerals. The steel or rose-gold-plated case houses an automatic FC-310 movement.

The Delight collection, which was introduced last September, is intended for enthusiasts of small traditional timepieces. With a diameter of 28 mm, the Lady Delight is offered with a choice of two dials, and either a stainless steel or two-tone case (steel and rose gold plated) with optional diamond-setting around the bezel. Each watch is driven by an FC-200 quartz movement.
