Young Directors Project - Montblanc
The Young Directors Project is supported by Montblanc International and has become an indispensable part of Sazburg Festival.

Through its sponsorship, Montblanc supports and facilitates new productions and invitations for existing works to visit Salzburg. Montblanc also donates the prize of EUR 10,000 for the best directing talent. This amount allows young artists to successfully continue their work. As a symbol of this honorary award, the winner of the Young Directors Project also receives a Mozart fountain pen, designed specially and exclusively by Montblanc for this project.

The first YDP production, The Animals and Children Took to the Streets, staged by the British director Suzanne Andrade and her ensemble “1927”, celebrated its premiere at republic on Tuesday, July 31, 2013.

Ingrid Roosen-Trinks, Director of the Montblanc Cultural Foundation, was glad to welcome this year’s VIP guest, actress Jane Seymour, to Salzburg. “Jane Seymour grew up with opera and since her role of Maria Callas, for which she won the Emmy Award, opera, theatre and arts and culture in general have dominated her life.
