In order to spread its expertise throughout the world, this traveling school will give its first classes abroad in Tokyo from July 17 to 31, 2013.

Encouraged by this promising start, L'Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels has chosen to present new insights by developing its program around three themes: History of Art, Savoir-Faire and the Universe of Gemstones. From February 2013, a total of thirteen courses will be available to explore these various aspects. They include a new course entitled «Explore and create: from design to mock-up»: it enables students to discover the origins of a piece of High Jewelry by trying their hands at the first steps in its creation: pencil drawings, gouaché drawings and threedimensional metal mock-ups. L'Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels also addresses the field of watchmaking with two new themes: «History of Time, History of Mankind» and «Dive into the heart of a mechanical watch».
Available in French and English, these four-hour courses provide students with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the world of jewelry and to discover the fascinating craft of watchmaking.
