As part of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), the Maison Breguet has won the Aiguille d’Or Grand Prix with its Classique Souscription 2025 watch.

This prize rewards the best timepiece across all categories, judged also as the most representative of the watchmaking industry. It is the most prestigious distinction.

The Classique Souscription 2025, the first piece presented to celebrate Breguet’s 250th anniversary, pays tribute to the visionary spirit of Abraham-Louis Breguet. Inspired by the Souscription watch designed at the end of the 18th century, it embodies a renewal imbued with apparent simplicity.

This single-hand model faithfully transposes a historic pocket watch into a wristwatch format. Its movement architecture is inspired by the Souscription calibres and the tact watch, while its aesthetics respect the original codes — satin caseband, domed crystal, grand feu enamel dial, secret signature, and hand-blued hand. The back is adorned with the exclusive Quai de l’Horloge guilloché motif and an engraving reproducing the founder’s words on the design of the movement.

Receiving the GPHG Aiguille d’Or Grand Prix is a tremendous honor for Breguet, which this year celebrates 250 years of uninterrupted watchmaking excellence. This prize rewards not only our Classique Souscription 2025, but above all the work, passion, and dedication of all our employees who bring the Maison to life every day. Their commitment, expertise, and exacting standards are the true beating heart of Breguet. To each and every one of them, I express my deep gratitude. This distinction belongs to them as much as to the brand.”
Gregory Kissling, CEO

With this creation, Breguet reaffirms its vocation: to transmit the art of watchmaking by combining tradition and innovation.
