Photo Shoot By Markus and Indrani - Girard-Perregaux
What happens when a high profile photography duo teams up with an iconic Swiss watch brand? A sleek explosion of timeless beauty.

It is no coincidence that Markus and Indrani, famous for their work with personalities such as Lady Gaga, David Bowie, and Beyonce re-interpreted ten Girard-Perregaux timepieces, blowing a wind of glamour over these beautiful wrist-sized time machines. This collaboration originated with the launch of Markus and Indrani's book ICONS at Lincoln Center in New York, featuring a collection of some of their work highlights. This in turn inspired them to photograph some of Girard-Perregaux's beautiful timepieces through their signature lense.

The ten watches were shot at Vasquez Rocks in California, a location famous for being the backdrop of many science fiction movies and for the peculiar shape of its rock formations.  These photos transport tradition into the future and feature watches like the iconic Bi-axial Tourbillon, Girard-Perregaux 1966 Minute Repeater and Cat's Eye in a never-seen-before styling for the luxury watch industry.

Speaking in the language of the new generations of watch lovers, the images were unveiled this morning through Girard-Perregaux's social media networks including Twitter (@GirardPerregaux), Facebook (Facebook.com/Girard-PerregauxWatches), Instagram (@GirardPerregaux) and Pinterest (@GirardPerregaux) and their online digital journal Mechanics of Style, in addition to the brand's website (girard-perregaux.com).

“The images that Markus and Indrani created bring a new light to watchmaking and to our timepieces“, said Michele Sofisti, CEO of Sowind Group (Girard-Perregaux and JEANRICHARD). “Girard-Perregaux is not only grounded in a strong history and heritage, but also on innovation as shown by our most recent unveiling of our Constant Force Escapement. Always with an eye into the future“.

“We have always been intrigued by the timelessness of Girard-Perregaux watches“, said Markus Klinko. “However the word timeless always seems to be anchored to the past. We wanted to illustrate a generation that is a hybrid of elegance and wildness, past and future“.
