German watch manufacturer starts extensive China Roadshow in September.
Under the motto “German Watchmaking Art since 1845”, Glashütte Original will present its craftsmanship and long tradition on a 4-months roadshow through China. From September 2 to December 22, 2013, the watchmaker will visit carefully selected hotspots around the country to give interested Chinese visitors an insight into the world of German precision engineering and watch manufacturing.
After having opened corporate boutiques in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong, Glashütte Original is now focusing on additional important cities such as Harbin, Chengdu or Xi'an. Altogether, the roadshow will have seven stops, each stop lasting seven days.
Tiny individual components, delicate dials and in-house movements will be displayed inside a special interactive table. The core collection of Glashütte Original’s timepieces including a number of new models will also be shown as well as multimedia presentations of the manufacturing process and – in selected locations – live demonstrations of a watchmaker. This way, Glashütte Original aims to provide an authentic and fascinating introduction to the art of German watchmaking as it has been practiced in Glashütte since 1845.
