The competition, offers the chance to see the best polo players in the world pitted against one another and is made up of three separate Open tournaments at the Tortugas, Hurlingham and Palermo clubs.
This year Jaeger-LeCoultre has the honour of participating as the official partner of a new team, La Aguada Las Monjitas, with 33 goals to its credit and consisting of the Argentinian national team player and Jaeger-LeCoultre ambassador Eduardo Novillo Astrada (handicap 9); Lucas James (handicap 8); Cristian Laprida (handicap 8); and Alejandro Novillo Astrada (handicap 8).

On Saturday 23 September, at the Jockey Club Open, the tournament that each year precedes the highly prestigious Argentine Triple Crown, the La Aguada Las Monjitas team had already put on a brilliant performance, defeating Chapa Uno 11–9. Seven teams took part in the tournament, all with handicaps of between 28 and 34.
Eduardo Novillo Astrada
The Argentinian polo player Eduardo Novillo Astrada is one of the few players to have achieved a handicap of 10 – the highest figure achievable in this sport. A Jaeger-LeCoultre ambassador since 2006, he is one of the very best players in the world, and famously won the 2003 Argentine Triple Crown together with his three brothers.
