On 17 March 2013, TAG Heuer ambassador Maria Sharapova has won her 28th career title at the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.
She defeated No.8 seed Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark 6-2 6-2. The match lasted an hour and 21 minutes. Maria Sharapova has not lost a single set over the tournament.
On her wrist, as she received the trophy, her Tag Heuer Formula 1 Steel and Ceramic Pavée.
This is Maria's second Indian Wells title after last winning the title in 2006. This season, Maria had already reached semi-finals at Australia Open and Doha.
On Monday, Maria will move up to No.2 in the WTA rankings as she enters Miami.
