Two superb new automatic Frédérique Constant for Cohiba Limited Edition watches burst onto the scene in smoky style - one in stainless steel and the other in 18-karat rose gold-plated steel. The ergonomically curved rectangular case shape of this timepiece was inspired by Cohiba's Toro cigars. The rich ivory or tobacco-colored dials are also naturally inspired by the cult Cohiba cigar brand. Each watch, with its hand-stitched brown crocodile strap, will be created in a limited edition of 188 numbered pieces in each of the two finishes, and each is sold in its own select-wood humidor along with 25 Cohiba cigars.

“The project was eight months in the making, and is a great partnership,” says Ralph Simons, president of Frédérique Constant USA. “The collection will only be offered in the United States, and already tonight we have sold at least 25 pieces.”

The automatic watches are powered by ETA 2892 base calibers that are further enhanced in the Frédérique Constant workshops in Geneva. They offer a dual time zone indication and oversized date window. The steel watch retails for $1,650, while the rose gold-plated version sells for $1,750. Both models will be sold through authorized US retailers as well as the premier cigar lounge and Manhattan landmark, Club Macanudo, which offers 130 varieties of cigars as well as a large selection of wines and spirits.

In addition to this exciting new venture with Cohiba, Frédérique Constant is also a sponsor of the Peking to Paris vintage auto rally and furthermore supported Eva Langoria as an official partner and sponsor of the Par Coeur Gala 2010 in Paris for Langoria's charity, Eva's Heroes, which helps improve the lives of less fortunate people worldwide.
