3 minutes read
The GTE Revolution continues in 2011! From January 16-21, 2011, some 60 watchmaking brands will display their latest collections at the Geneva Time Exhibition.

Press release

GTE is a unique opportunity for all watch industry professionals, private collectors and afficionados to discover the exceptional creativity of the new watchmaking generation.

Having launched the first edition of Geneva Time Exhibition in utter urgency and within three months in 2009, the Time Exhibitions Team focused on developing quality contents of its all-in-one exhibition platform concept. A special effort has been made on GTE's visual identity and website. With its bold, streamlined appearance, GTE's new graphic chart is sleekly modern, befitting the luxury image of all the watchmaking brands present at the Fair.

Designed by the Lausanne-based company WnG Solutions, the new GTE website allows each exhibitor to design his stand automatically and instantaneously. Using the same technology as for the Exhibitors area, accreditation forms for visitors and media have been totally reworked and simplified to facilitate visitors & media registration. Last but not least, a special section in the GTE media area is at exhibitors' disposal for storing all their press releases and photos (low resolution only).

GTE Superwatch 2011 Award

Geneva Time Exhibition is pleased to announce the creation of the GTE Superwatch 2011 Award, the prize for the independent watch deemed the most distinguished in its conception, avant-gardism and technology. Reserved exclusively to exhibitors taking part at the GTE, The GTE Superwatch 2011 Award is given to one single watch.

Prestigious partners

« GTE's strength lies in its exhibiting brands, so atypical and sublime. But our success strongly depends on the prestige of our official partners. Through these market leaders, our show manages to generate its own visitor traffic: passionate and enthusiast collectors who have the opportunity to acquire directly, at each GTE's stand, the watch of their dreams », explains Florence Noël, Geneva Time Exhibition Director.

Sotheby's and Laurent Perrier, GTE's official 2010 partners, were very pleased with their involvement with Geneva Time Exhibition and have decided to renew their partnership for this year's Fair. They will be joined for the 2011 edition by the luxury-lifestyle concierge service Quintessentially. With 55 offices, 800 employees and over 30,000 VIP members – business clients, millionaires and celebrities – around the globe, Quintessentially provides the leading private concierge service in the world today.

In 2011 GTE will again be providing a VIP limousine service in partnership with the leading car-maker Audi, represented by AMAG in Geneva.

An ambitious exhibition

Building on the success of last year's debut event – nearly 5500 visitors have discovered 38 watch brands collections –, GTE 2011 will triple its exhibition surface to accommodate nearly 60 exhibitors next January. The exhibition will cover a total 3,000 m2 area, offering a highly eclectic watchmaking show, all segments combined.

Objective: to overcome all divisions and boundaries to become a unique showcase for the art of watchmaking in all its excellence and originality.
To the delight of watch lovers. Purely and simply.
