A common feature of all new Moser watches is the extended power reserve when fully wound. Watches in the Mayu range, although only equipped with a single barrel, nevertheless have a power reserve of at least three days.
Watches in the Perpetual 1 and Monard ranges are fitted with larger calibres and two barrels, and for this reason their power reserve is at least seven days. Thanks to a special combination of materials, the two barrels are distinguished by their long service life.In spite of their long power reserve, Moser watches still need to be rewound. A technical innovation ensures that the operation of the winding mechanism is low-wear, gentle and smooth. The force of the winding stem must be displaced through 90 degrees in relation to the barrel as it is transmitted, since the crown is positioned laterally. This is achieved exclusively in Moser watches by means of bevel wheels, the manufacture of which is very involved due to their small size. A special production machine has been equipped and adapted solely for the production of these bevel wheels.
