Located in the recently inaugurated Wynn Palace in Cotai, Macao, the 63.5 square metres boutique is the second store of A. Lange & Söhne to feature a new design concept after the renovation of the boutique in Tokyo.
In line with the company’s motto – “never stand still” – the concept has been modernised but as before, the Lange boutique is still immediately recognisable thanks to the use of the characteristic Lange grey. The proportions of the wall units have been altered and now conform to the golden ratio. The distinctive panels on the wall units have been reworked and finished with decorative metal strips. As well as literally adding visual highlights, these make a statement about the typical characteristics of a Lange watch: like the edge of every watch component, the strips are bevelled at a 45° angle and polished. In addition to this, they feature straight-line graining on the inside – another finishing technique typical of some watch components.
Lights in two specially chosen colours ensure that the timepieces are illuminated to optimum effect and in the lounge, an illustrated timeline on the wall tells the story of A. Lange & Söhne from 1815 to the present day.
The new home of A. Lange & Söhne in Macao offers watch connoisseurs the complete experience of Saxon watchmaking artistry including the latest debuts and exclusive boutique models. Visitors entering the boutique will be warmly welcomed by specially trained sales personnel.
