L’Odyssée de Cartier

With L’Odyssée de Cartier, released on Septembre 25th, 2019, Cartier explores its inspiration in a series of short films.

This Odyssée consists of five episodes who set the tone with stories dedicated to the Maison’s influences and the foundation of the Cartier style.

Over the course of its chapters, L’Odyssée de Cartier travels through time to tell stories big and small. Royal courts, far-flung inspirations, flora and fauna, iconic creations, illustrious clients: the 20th century unfolds to the spirited rhythm of a narration performed by French actor Édouard Baer. A creative dialogue between the past, the present and the future of Cartier, spanning more than 150 years.

“The L’Odyssée de Cartier series dives into the heart of Cartier’s style and eloquently demonstrates what makes our iconic style more current than ever,” says Arnaud Carrez, Director of Marketing and Communication for Cartier International. “This series will allow us, for the first time, to share the depth and the diversity of our culture with a wider public. Once again, Cartier dares to be curious, venturing into new territory in anticipation of the unexpected. L’Odyssée de Cartier is the freely expressed exploration of its own style, by Cartier. Consequently, each episode is an experience.”

Chapter 1: Jeanne Toussaint, la Panthère; Chapter 2: Cartier & the British touch; Chapter 3: Cartier and the Russian influences; Chapter 4: Cartier and the road to the East; Chapter 5: Cartier and the Chinese influences (planned for release during autumn).
