The history of Cuervo y Sobrinos began in 1882 in La Havana with the jewellery and watchmaking firm called “la Casa”, founded by Ramon Rio y Cuervo. It was then was taken over by his nephew Armando and his brothers, who renamed it “Cuervo y Sobrinos” (Cuervo and nephews).
Cuervo y Sobrinos had its heyday in the 1940s. But the 1959 revolution forced the brand to stop its production. The rebirth of the brand took place in 2001 thanks to Marzio Villa. Today, as in the past, Cuervo y Sobrinos timepieces are still manufactured in Capolago in Switzerland.
“El tiempo lento”: the firm’s motto perfectly encapsulates its approach. Its world is that of early twentieth-century Havana, a period of luxury and elegance in which time takes on a different dimension, far from the race to industrialisation.

Worldtempus is happy to welcome Cuervo y Sobrinos as a new partner.
