Profile of Bovet's proprietor.

Pascal Raffy, the proprietor and managing director of Bovet, was introduced to the world of Haute Horlogerie by his collector grandfather when he was just a child. Born in Beirut in 1963 into a French family, he lived in Switzerland before leaving for Paris to pursue his studies in law. It was at that time that he began to build up his own watch collection.
After starting his career in the pharmaceutical industry Pascal Raffy returned to Switzerland. There he took some time out to look after his children, before deciding to invest in the Bovet brand. He became its sole proprietor in 2002. Captivated by the original design of its wristwatches featuring a pocket-watch-type bow, he took the concept to its natural conclusion, developing the Amadeo conversion system (reversible wristwatch, pocket watch and table clock) in 2010.
In the meantime Pascal Raffy bought the Dimier manufacture and the Château de Môtiers in 2006, making Bovet a fully-fledged Haute Horlogerie brand.
