Marc A. Hayek, grandson of Swatch Group founder Nicolas G. Hayek, is a board member of the family group and President and CEO of the three prestigious brands Blancpain, Breguet and Jaquet Droz. Born in Switzerland in 1971, he moved to the United States to take a Masters in Business and Marketing at the University of Southern California (USC), from which he graduated in 1991. In 1992 Marc A. Hayek began working for Swatch as head of public relations, before being appointed Marketing & Sponsor Manager of Certina two years later. In 1996 he left to explore new horizons, and launched a new restaurant concept in Zurich.
On his return to Swatch Group in 2001, Mark A. Hayek joined Blancpain as marketing manager, becoming President and CEO the following year. By mid-2010 he was also fulfilling the same role at Breguet and Jaquet Droz.
