Czapek Xavier de Roquemaurel

Profile of Czapek's CEO.

Born in Lyons in 1969, Xavier de Roquemaurel has made an international career for himself in a field that he likes to call “emotional products”. He started his professional life at Mars in 1993, in sales, before joining L’Oréal in 1996, where he held various sales positions at the Gemey Maybelline brand. In 1999 he left for Barcelona and studied for an MBA in Business at the IESE. He subsequently joined the luxury accessories brand Loewe (July 2001), which is part of the LVMH group. He was International Product Manager at the brand when he left to join Ermenegildo Zegna, where he took the post of Marketing Manager (October 2004) for Spain and Portugal, then later that of Head of Marketing for western Europe (June 2007). A change of direction came in 2011 when Xavier de Roquemaurel entered the watch industry as Marketing Director at Ebel, arriving with solid experience in the management and development of luxury brands. He left Ebel in December 2012 to work on personal projects. In 2013 he met Harry Guhl and the “mystery watchmaker”, whereupon all three decided to revive the Czapek brand, which was officially relaunched in late 2015.
