Profile of Glashütte Original's CEO.
German watch brand Glashütte Original, which became part of the Swatch Group in 2000, is managed by Yann Gamard. This French national, who has an MBA from Lausanne in Switzerland, held a number of positions with Procter & Gamble and Cartier before joining the Swatch Group in 1995, initially in Swatch SA’s finance department. He was then put in charge of Swatch Group’s Telecoms division, and made Country Manager for the USA. Yann Gamard has been a member of the group’s expanded management team since 1998.
As well as managing Glashütte Original he is currently head of Swatch Group Germany, Swatch Group Nordic (Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway) and head of logistics and distribution in Europe.
