Nicolas Bos was appointed President and CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels on 1 January 2013, at the age of 42. He graduated from Paris’s premier business school, the ESSEC, and joined the Richemont Group in 1992 when he went to work for the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain.
In 2000 he joined fine jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels, which had just been bought by the group, where he has remained ever since. He began as director for marketing and design, subsequently expanding his portfolio to include shops (setting up an international network and developing a new concept) and watchmaking. While still design director he was promoted to Vice-President of Van Cleef & Arpels (2009) and President of Van Cleef & Arpels Americas (2010).
As President and CEO, Nicolas Bos plans to continue with the policy of excellence and creativity that are the hallmarks of a Maison he knows inside out.
