Corum was bought by the Citychamp group (formerly China Haidan) in 2013 and since April 2014 has been under the responsibility of an executive board chaired by Executive Vice President Jacques-Alain Vuille.
Jacques-Alain Vuille was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1959 and joined Corum as soon as he finished his studies in his home town’s business school, initially as a salesman in the purchasing department. Two years later, in 1981, he was appointed manager of the sales department, and began to travel around the world. Under the responsibility of the brand’s founder, René Bannwart, he was appointed proxyholder and head of sales.
In the year 2000, when Corum was bought by Severin Wunderman, Jacques-Alain Vuille became Vice-President of Sales. In 2010 he was promoted again, taking the title of Vice President for Worldwide Distribution and head of the European zone. When the executive committee was formed in 2014, his lifetime commitment to the brand was rewarded with the chairmanship.
