Numerous representatives of the press and media, friends and business partners of the Brand gathered in Vienna to celebrate the opening of the new Glashütte Original Boutique – an evening in which the finest art of German watchmaking was celebrated in every sense. An experienced master watchmaker and an expert from the company's own dial manufactory in Pforzheim offered insights into their craft.
As a partner of the Dresden Music Festival for many years, it was an obvious choice for Glashütte Original to end this evening on a musical note as well. Impressions of such sights as the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche), the Zwinger Palace or the Semper Opera House, along with the Viennese skyline, put the guests in the mood for the concert with Alexei Kornienko and the Gustav Mahler Orchestra.
With the new Boutique at Kohlmarkt 4 the Saxon art of watchmaking has now found an official home in Austria in as well. The store, with its 70 square meter salesroom, is located in one of the city's finest shopping districts, in close proximity to a number of important landmarks.
Prior to the opening event in the evening two new watch models were presented to the press on hand. Fully in tune with the "excellent" theme, the Senator Excellence Panorama Date and the Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase set new standards in terms of precision, running time, stability and aesthetics and combine them with the promise of proven quality. The two timepieces, housed in elegant red gold or stainless steel 40 mm diameter cases, combine the high standards of the new Glashütte Original Calibre 36 movement with two of the watchmaker's characteristic complications.
