Jaeger-LeCoultre announced today they will be producing their first Beverly Hills Boutique exclusive timepiece: The Master Compressor Diving Alarm Navy SEALs Incursion.
The Incursion Edition came to life with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Beverly Hills Boutique Connoisseurs Club (JLCBHBC). This exclusive pilot program was launched in 2009 by Jaeger-LeCoultre North America with the vision to create a local west-coast community among knowledgeable JLCBHBC members. Already existing members were given the unique opportunity to have direct input with the Manufacture in creating the Master Compressor Diving Navy Alarm SEALs Beverly Hills Boutique Incursion Edition, resulting in a piece that captured their minds as well as their hearts.
Since the announcement of the partnership between the Navy SEALs and Jaeger-LeCoultre with the unveiling of the Master Compressor Diving Navy SEALs collection in 2008, the next natural progression was to create the Incursion Edition for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Beverly Hills flagship. The natural geographic proximity to the Coronado based Navy SEALs has created a particularly strong following for the Master Compressor Navy SEALs collection. Due to this strong US following of the Navy SEALs and Jaeger-LeCoultre partnership the Beverly Hills Boutique set out to create a penultimate edition for its most passionate enthusiast.
Master Compressor Diving Alarm Navy SEALs Beverly Hills Boutique Incursion Edition
President John Fitzgerald Kennedy is credited with the creation of the first SEAL Teams, which were initially activated on January 1st, 1962. The Kennedy speech was a big inspiration to the Incursion Edition theme, thus this micro limited edition will be created in a combination of 1962 numerals (19 Black Gold, 62 Titanium PVD).
The original Master Compressor Diving Alarm served as the optimal base platform housing a majority of the purposed needs for the Incursion Edition. Jaeger-LeCoultre's perpetual quest for innovation, further adjustments and improved design details were employed to create subtle yet important changes to further optimize this Edition for its required usage.
The elite Navy SEALs are often synonymous with their stealthy incursions by Sea, Air and Land. The Incursion Edition was themed after these specific mission requirements. The absolute need for stealth necessitated further camouflaging the look with the combination of a grey and black selection to the overall design. Jaeger-LeCoultre's perpetual quest for innovation is continued by trying out two novel case finish materials. Black Gold and Charcoal Grey PVD Titanium are being deployed for the first time ever in Jaeger-LeCoultre history especially for this “mission”. Burnt orange and faded yellow hues highlight the most essential indicators (second hand tip, numerical intervals and compressor keys). The 44mm case houses the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 956 ensuring reliable and continuous power. The unidirectional ceramic bezel and straightforward dial layout in a subdued two-tone grey and black finish provide a clear display of all of its necessary functions. The hour, minute and second hands are at the center and the second hand also serves as an operating indicator, a necessity on a diving watch. The date window is at three o'clock. Finally, to ensure perfect legibility a luminescent triangle indicates the alarm time, which is adjusted using a rotating disk. The Jaeger-LeCoultre NSA Logo will purposefully be left off the rotating alarm disk and instead etched on the sapphire crystal to allow for an uninterrupted reference.
To complement the mission objectives of the edition, further customization will be portrayed with unique accessories, packaging and a special delivery event open to all buyers of the Incursion Edition. The most visible accessory customization to the timepiece will be the straps. The black leather cordura strap will have matching accent colors in the stitching and alcantra strap backing. The second strap will be a black cordura made of super rugged material perfectly suited to diving. Unique packaging and additional accessories exclusive to the Incursion Edition. To celebrate the release of the Incursion Edition Jaeger-LeCoultre North America will host a special one of a kind delivery event.
