Jaquet Droz, The Traveling Man
Born in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1721, Pierre Jaquet Droz was one of the greatest craftsman-inventors of the 18th century. When he established his watchmaking business in 1738, he specialized from the start in ultra-luxurious timepieces.

Showing Buildings, streets or gardens, the Jean-Michel Berts' portraits of cities are remarkable by their force and presence, giving off a curious impression of mystery. The shot locations are realized at the first lights of dawn or at the end of the twilight.
Inspired by the traveling philosophy of its founder and sensitive to the quality of Jean-Michel Berts' work, Jaquet Droz has entrusted the photographer with the realization of its new ads campaign photographs.
A surprising universe comes from those portraits of cities. Each picture reflects a timeless sensation which underlines the spirit of the brand and of its timepieces.
During the vernissage on May, 12th, the guests have had the opportunity to travel through the astonishing pieces of the photographer and the pleasure to discover or discover again the outstanding collection of the Parisian boutique.
The exhibition is open to the public from May, 13th 2011 to May, 28th 2011.
