Berlin hosted the Longines Global Champions Tour for the very first time last weekend. The eleventh leg of the series gathered the best international riders and horses of the world at The Sommergarten at the Funkturm. As Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the 15-leg circuit, Longines presented the highlight competition of the event, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Berlin won by Germand rider Christian Ahlmann on Codex One.
This competition allows the riders to score points for the Longines Global Champions Tour Ranking and for the Longines FEI Rankings. At the moment, after 11 legs, Harrie Smolders from Netherlands is number one with 252 points. Launched in April in Mexico City, the circuit will end in November in Doha.
The Longines Global Champions Tour of Berlin offered the perfect opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event, a new variation of The Longines Master Collection featuring a blue dial adorned with diamond indexes. This fashionable chromatic variation is perfectly in line with the classic and understated spirit of this collection. This steel lady model shows the hours, minutes and seconds thanks to rhodium-plated hands that stand out subtly.
