Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano

Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano - Longines
Sixties Song clinched the 2017 Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano.

Being the Official Partner of the Organización Latinoamericana de Fomento del Pura Sangre de Carrera (OSAF), Longines has been timing the 22 races of the Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano in Viña del Mar, Chile. The highlight race was won by Sixties Song ridden by Juan Villagara. The winning owner, trainer and jockey received refined Longines watches for this performance. So did the winning team of the Longines Cup Thompson Mattews.

The Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano is an itinerant competition set up by the OSAF every year in a different country of Latin America. In addition of being Title Partner, Longines is proud to be the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of this event, which is the most important international Group 1 horse race of the subcontinent. Next year, the Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano will take place in Montevideo, in Uruguay.

The Official Watch of the 2017 Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano is a model of The Longines Master Collection. This men chronograph features a refined silvered stamped barleycorn dial with a moonphase display. The transparent case back of its stainless steel case reveals the self-winding mechanical movement.

Alongside the races, Longines organized the Longines Prize for Elegance. The Swiss watch brand honoured Valentina Fenzo Rossi, as the most elegant lady present at the racetrack and Vincenzo Rossi as the most elegant man attending the event, and handed them Longines watches.
