Luxury goods firm LVMH Moet Hennessey Louis Vuitton /quotes/comstock/24s!e:mc (FR:MC 91.55, +2.72, +3.07%) said Tuesday that its first-quarter sales rose 11% to 4.47 billion euros ($6.1 billion) with organic sales growth at 13%. The group said that it continues to perform well in Asia and has seen a strong rebound in the United States and Europe. Wines and spirits and watches and jewelry both benefited from the end of destocking by distributors seen throughout 2009 and from a recovery in final consumer demand. Louis Vuitton registered double-digit organic revenue growth, the firm said.
