The color of this dial is reminiscent of one of the most iconic rivers of the Alpine massif: the Rhone. This emblematic river begins its journey in natural blue tones in the Swiss eponymous glacier located in the heart of the canton of Valais – an environment that is home to several eagle species – before feeding the waters of Lake Geneva and eventually flowing into the Mediterranean Sea.
The radiant texture of the dial echoes the iris of an eagle, while Super‑LumiNova®‑coated hands and hour markers ensure perfect readability under all conditions.
The bezel is secured by eight indexed screws, an aesthetic and technical signature that also reinforces the watch’s 100‑meter water resistance. The integrated bracelet, composed of a wide ingot‑shaped link topped with a polished central cap, extends the sporty yet refined character of the timepiece.
At the heart of each model beats an automatic movement developed and produced in-house, with precision certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).
The 41 mm version houses the Chopard 01.01‑C calibre, offering a 60‑hour power reserve, while the 36 mm version contains the Chopard 09.01‑C calibre, one of the smallest Chronometer‑certified movements, with a 42‑hour power reserve.
The movement can be admired through the open caseback. The latter carries the Alpine Eagle Foundation’s logo, indicating that a portion of the proceeds from these 36 mm and 41 mm models helps fund the Foundation’s activities in support of preserving the Alps.
The Alpine Eagle 41 Rhone Blue displays hours, minutes, seconds and date. The Alpine Eagle 36 Rhone Blue shows hours, minutes and seconds. Both embody the harmony between performance, aesthetics and artisanal heritage, making Alpine Eagle an emblematic collection fueled by the passion of the Alps, the strength of the eagle and Chopard’s watchmaking excellence.
“Through these new Alpine Eagle Rhone Blue models, we are proud to continue supporting the Alpine Eagle Foundation, whose programmes play an important role in preserving the Alps and the wildlife that inhabits them," said Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele.
