From There, the Journey Led to the Cosc Laboratories, Where the Movements Faced the Ultimate Chronometric Trial: 5 Positions, 3 Temperatures, and Precision Captured Through Optical Cameras. The Very Same Process Every Certified Timepiece Must Endure: An Odyssey of Accuracy at the Very Heart of Swiss Watchmaking.

Ceos, Media, Influencers, Collectors as Well as Watchmakers, All Stepped up to the Challenge. What Began Playfully Soon Took on the Intensity of an Olympic Contest, as Each Tried to Master the Quest for Precision.

Key Takeaways:
•    Precision Revealed Itself as a True Grail, One That Can Only Be Achieved With Patience and Rigor, and Which Remains the Ultimate Guarantee of Quality.
•    the Competition Also Highlighted a Striking Reality: The Instantaneous Rate Measured on Site Bore Little Resemblance to the Average Daily Rate Determined at Cosc, After Two Weeks of Testing in Five Positions. A Clear Demonstration of the Added Value the Certification Label Brings to the Industry.
•    Through the Journey of These 40 Movements, the Certification Laboratories Were Opened to a Wider Audience, Thanks to Social Media. Followers Discovered the Uncompromising Rigor of the Tests, the Professionalism of the Operators, the Technical Expertise Required, and the Impartiality Embodied in the “Chronometer Certified” Seal.
•    Finally, While the Cosc Tolerance Range (–4 / +6 Seconds per Day) Is Undeniably Stringent, It Remains Attainable - 32 Competitors Succeeded in Meeting It, Supported by the Students of the Geneva Watchmaking School. Could This Signal the Path Toward an Even Stricter Benchmark Than the Iso 3159 Standard? Stay Tuned.

Beyond the Playful Dimension of the Calibership Challenge, the Geneva Watch Days Offered Cosc the Perfect Stage to Convey Its Motto: Swiss Excellence, Certified.

More Than 17,000 Visitors Were Given the Opportunity to Explore Certification in a New and Engaging Way: Through a Video Game Arcade Installed at the Pavilion’s Culture Club. This Initiative Offered a Light-Hearted Introduction to a Demanding Subject, Reflecting Cosc’s Ability to Combine Intransigence With Accessibility. It Demonstrated That Precision Is Not About Elitism or Distance, but About Humility, Simplicity, and a Genuine Commitment to Excellence in Swiss Chronometry.

“This Successful Partnership With a Major Event in the Watchmaking Landscape Perfectly Illustrates the New Momentum of Cosc. It Marks the Beginning of a Deliberate Movement to Promote the Excellence of Swiss Watchmaking. In the Future, More Initiatives Will Follow, Each Aimed at Reaching the End Customer: The One Who Values the True, Intrinsic Quality of a Timepiece Above All Else” Said Sébastien Cretegny, the New President of Cosc.
