The previous chapter demonstrated that sport-chic, COSC-certified, Swiss Made watches could be made accessible. With Chapter 8, the brand approaches neo-vintage with the same philosophy.
New Collection
The young, disruptive brand is introducing no fewer than seven automatic models, crafted in 41mm 316L stainless steel, which adopt the codes of classic Swiss watchmaking. The four three-hand versions evoke the great design references of the minimalist 1950s. The sector dials, with sandblasted finishes, play on texture contrasts and are adorned with sober, elegant colors: sand, gray, black, or white. The hands, like the indexes, are polished, faceted, and coated with Super-Luminova for optimal readability. The three Moonphase versions revisit one of watchmaking's most poetic complications through a traditional crescent-shaped aperture located at 10 o'clock, echoed by a small round date window at 4 o'clock. The contrast of textures is also found across the three available colors — sand, gray, or white — further enhanced by the snailed small seconds subdial at 7 o'clock. The watches come with either stitched leather straps or Milanese mesh steel bracelets, for an added touch of sophistication. The rounded lugs and concave bezels provide the sought-after neo-vintage flair.
The Right Price – BA111OD
The collection, water-resistant to 5 ATM, is equipped with automatic Soprod movements — the C105 for the Moonphase models and the P024 for the three-hand versions — both well-known and proven calibers, offering a 42-hour power reserve. As always, thanks to its direct-to-consumer sales model and tight margins, the brand offers highly competitive pricing for an especially attractive range. The three-hand models start at CHF 595, and the Moonphase versions at CHF 1,100… Once again, Thomas Baillod’s famous oxymoron of “accessible luxury” comes to life in this Chapter 8 — entirely designed and assembled in Neuchâtel — which exudes the timeless charm of classic watchmaking.
A Bold and Deliberate Gamble
The founder knows it — expectations are always high, especially when venturing into such a "classic" design territory, where comparisons are endless. But that doesn’t slow him down. On the contrary, he doubles down: “With our first eight chapters, we’ve established our foundation. Our positioning is clear, and we’ve found our audience. Now we can move into the spectacular.” So, 2026 promises new surprises — much to the delight of fans of affordable Swiss Made watches. In the meantime, the neo-vintage gems of Chapter 8 allow them to proudly wear the timeless designs of Swiss watchmaking — without having to mortgage their home.
