With the Chronomaster Solo Sport, ZENITH explores this dimension through a more direct and essential interpretation of the collection. For the first time, Chronomaster introduces a three-hand watch built around everyday versatility while preserving the high-frequency identity that has defined El Primero for more than five decades. Freed from the chronograph display, the Chronomaster Solo Sport brings attention back to what has always defined El Primero beyond measurement itself: high-frequency cadence, precision and sensation on the wrist. The result is a watch conceived not around a singular use or occasion, but around the rhythm of everyday life itself.
Neither overtly sporty nor strictly elegant, the Chronomaster Solo Sport was designed to move naturally between different environments and moments of the day. Its 40mm stainless steel case balances compact proportions with a strong architectural presence on the wrist, while the ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel introduces a more functional and contemporary tension within the silhouette.
More than a purely technical element, the bezel contributes to the watch’s versatile character, equally at home in everyday urban settings as in more active environments. Framed by dynamic crown protectors, the screw-down crown reinforces the watch’s robust construction and contributes to its 20 ATM water resistance.
At the heart of the watch beats the El Primero 3620 calibre, derived from the El Primero 3600 chronograph movement. Operating at 5 Hz (36,000 VpH), this automatic manufacture calibre preserves the high-frequency signature that has defined El Primero since its introduction. Equipped with a silicon escapement, a stop-second mechanism and a bi-directional winding system with a star-shaped rotor, it delivers 60 hours of power reserve.
The dial plays a central role in expressing high frequency visually. Crafted from ceramic, its structured surface is built around a repeated 45° Z motif evoking the rhythm and vibration of the movement beneath. Depending on the version, this pattern is engraved on either a sunray-finished white ceramic dial or a polished black or brown ceramic surface, creating distinct expressions of the same visual language. This newly developed pattern was conceived as a true visual signature of high frequency, translating cadence and precision directly onto the dial itself.
Designed exclusively for the Chronomaster Solo Sport, this graphic construction introduces a new design language within the Chronomaster collection, making the sensation of frequency perceptible beyond its purely technical dimension.
The same visual identity extends to the seconds hand counterweight, while the “shark tooth” minute track at the periphery of the dial introduces a highly segmented reading of time inspired by historical Zenith references. Together, these elements create a dial architecture that feels unmistakably tied to the world of El Primero.
The Chronomaster Solo Sport is presented on a three-link stainless steel bracelet secured by the ZENCLASP™ folding clasp. Developed by Zenith, its integrated micro-adjustment mechanism allows quick and precise resizing directly on the wrist without tools, reinforcing the collection’s focus on everyday comfort and wearability.
The Chronomaster Solo Sport is available in three versions with ceramic dials and bezels in black, white, and brown, featuring hours, minutes, seconds, and date indication. Additionally, the black version is also offered in a no-date variant, whose streamlined design will inevitably appeal to purists.
Officially unveiled at Geneva Watch Days 2026, the Chronomaster Solo Sport is available from September 2nd, 2026 at Zenith boutiques, online and through authorized retailers worldwide.
ZENCLASP™: A New Folding Clasp by Zenith
Presented at Watches and Wonders 2026, Zenith's new folding clasp, ZENCLASP™, was developed to enhance both security and everyday comfort.
Defined by smooth, rounded lines, its ergonomic architecture ensures a natural fit on the wrist, while the integrated safety-lock system and micro-adjustment mechanism provide secure fastening and precise sizing. The folding clasp is secured by a lift-up safety cover adorned with the Zenith star. Engineered for intuitive and precise operation, its closing system is reinforced by ceramic ball components that ensure accurate locking and maintain the exact relative positioning of the internal elements over time. Its user-friendly micro-adjustment mechanism allows the bracelet to be adjusted without tools. Adjustments are made by lifting a secondary cover, enabling 2.5 mm increments with a total extension range of 10 mm, allowing the bracelet to adapt seamlessly to natural variations in wrist size throughout the day.
From a technical standpoint, the folding clasp comprises 41 components, including 10 ceramic balls that secure both the locking and positioning functions of the mechanism. Its development required three years, or 1,800 hours, of research, engineering and optimization. The durability of each function has been validated through extensive real-life testing equivalent to more than 10 years of use, representing over 600,000 cumulative opening and closing cycles.
ZENCLASP™ is currently available on selected CHRONOMASTER Sport references and across the CHRONOMASTER Solo Sport collection. The folding clasp will progressively be introduced across additional CHRONOMASTER Sport models and can be adapted to all compatible CHRONOMASTER Sport bracelets.
