Eberhard & Co. announces the completion of the restoration of the eagle statue that crowns the building housing both the Maison’s headquarters and its museum dedicated to its historical heritage, known as the Maison de l’Aigle, the mansion commissioned by Georges-Lucien Eberhard at the beginning of the 20th century.

Severely damaged by a violent storm, the eagle had to be temporarily removed from its position overlooking the city. After a meticulous restoration process carried out by La Zinguerie d’Art, an art workshop specializing in the creation of architectural ornaments, the emblematic sculpture now once again affirms its role as a symbol of the Maison.

For more than a century, the eagle has stood as a silent guardian of Eberhard & Co., embodying the values, vision, and enduring independent spirit that have defined the Maison since 1887.

To mark this significant moment, Eberhard & Co. has also sealed a time capsule inside the eagle, intended for future generations. The capsule contains a curated selection of items representing the Company today, offering a tangible testimony of its present identity and values, including a letter from CEO Barbara Monti addressed to future generations.

Among the contents is a component from the Chronographe 1887 Édition Limitée, featuring a custom-designed upper bridge shaped like the Maison’s Shield emblem. This functional element of the movement reflects the brand’s philosophy: precision engineering intertwined with symbolic meaning, where mechanical excellence and identity are inseparable.

As the eagle continues to watch over the Maison de l’Aigle, this gesture stands as a bridge between past, present, and future, preserving the memory of today for those who will come tomorrow.
