This is in no way merely a color variation on an existing model. Eberhard & Co. is introducing a new line, a move that is entirely to its credit. The Swiss watchmaker has unveiled the Contodat, the brand's first modern collection exclusively designed with an integrated bracelet and offering a three-hand version and a chronograph version, both housed in a 39mm case. The two models are inspired by a watch created in the 1970s, a chic yet above all mechanical sports chronograph that went completely against the quartz trend of the time.
The collection has retained touches of orange from the original timepiece on the small seconds and outer scale, adding a dynamic and fun touch. Available in several colors, the sunburst dial of the three-hand model has a seconds counter at 9 o'clock and a date window at 3 o'clock. Engraved with the Latin phrase "UBI TU IBI EGO" ("Wherever you are, I will be"), its caseback offers the wearer a beautiful promise of continuity and loyalty from Eberhard & Co
