Vacheron Constantin is celebrating its 270th anniversary in 2025. To mark the occasion, the Manufacture is unveiling a wide range of resolutely contemporary new models, including a series of Openface iterations whose dials reveal part of the mechanisms without being skeleton watches. The Traditionnelle Tourbillon Retrograde Date Openface illustrates two of the Maison's essential areas of exper-tise. First, the retrograde date between 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock representing an aesthetic signature typical of the Manufacture.
The dial opening revealing the mechanism is particularly appealing. Then there is the 6 o'clock tourbillon with its iconic Maltese cross bridge. The caliber is thinner thanks to its peripheral oscillating weight, while the caseback offers a view of the 'côte unique' finish. The dial is adorned with a boldly off-centered guilloché pattern that is a distinctive feature of the 270t anniversary array, but which we hope may become a permanent fixture in the Traditionnelle collection given the freshness and elegance it brings to the composition.
