Lorige unveils 50 examples of its racing machine, the BL-Endurance Evolution, in “Competition” version. Its cases are made from brake components used at the 24 Hours of Le Mans during the historic winning one-two finish on June 14.

You need to follow circuit racing at least a little to appreciate the magnitude of this achievement, but fans will immediately understand its significance. They are the ones Lorige had in mind with the BL-Endurance Evolution “Competition.” For the uninitiated, the facts speak for themselves: qualifying for the 24 Hours of Le Mans is an achievement in itself. Finishing the race is a feat. Winning it is the ultimate prize. Doing so three times in four years seemed impossible. Taking first and second place simultaneously is simply historic.

This extraordinary achievement has just been accomplished by the Polish team Inter Europol Competition, with its race cars #43 and #343. Car #43 retained the title it had won the previous year after a controlled performance, while its sister car, #343, completed this unprecedented one-two finish in 2026. The victory is all the more remarkable because it brings the team’s tally to three wins in four years (2023, 2025 and now 2026).

50 Pieces—and Not One More

That was all it took for Lorige to seize on this remarkable achievement and offer its customers, whether drivers or racing fans, a limited edition of 50 watches in tribute to this historic performance. There will not be a single example beyond these 50, and no more watches of the same type can ever be made. In keeping with Lorige’s DNA, each case is unique and crafted entirely from the actual brake calipers used on the winning race cars—in this case, Inter Europol Competition’s #43 and #343. The brand’s motto rings true once again: “More than inspiration”, as each of the 50 collectors will literally wear a piece of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans on their wrist, commemorating the day this one-two finish made history.

Technically, this is pure Lorige, in both substance and form. The tonneau-shaped case measures 50mm x 42mm and naturally showcases the carbon case material derived from the brakes of cars #43 and #343. Its density and durability are ensured by Lorige’s patented Carbon/Carbon injection technology.

The design is understated, prioritizing maximum legibility through alternating black and white elements. Only two colors break this monochrome palette: yellow and green, the signature colors of Inter Europol Competition. They appear discreetly on the small seconds display on the dial side, but more prominently on the two large, signature barrels of Lorige’s in-house LOR-DB03 caliber.

“DB” stands for Double Barrel, delivering a 168-hour power reserve, or seven days. This is arguably the sports watch with the longest autonomy on the market, offering exceptional “endurance” in direct reference to the endurance races that inspired it. This record power reserve is displayed in a dedicated aperture at 9 o’clock.

Multiple Enhancements

The BL-Endurance Evolution “Competition” also introduces a number of new features. First, the quick-release strap system, which requires no tools and was previously optional, is now standard. This proprietary Lorige mechanism allows each strap section to be detached with a simple press of a finger.

The strap itself has also been optimized for the occasion. Developed with Biwi, a leading strap manufacturer, it features a dual-texture rubber construction. “The central section reproduces a Cordura-type textile, but without the drawbacks of actual fabric, which inevitably starts to fray,” explains Clément Étienvre, Lorige’s co-founder and CEO.

He also points to “a level of finishing never achieved before, on both the caseback and dial sides, with a sunray pattern dressing the entire movement visible through the back of the watch. We also have a new graduated smoked sapphire crystal: darker across the upper half of the dial, lighter toward the bottom, until it becomes 100% transparent above the small seconds display.”

A rare timepiece for professional drivers and thrill-seekers alike. It was created for those for whom “BL” stands for Brake Late—a late-braking technique that distinguishes the greatest names on the track.
