After simplifying the perpetual calendar to the point of making it intuitive, the Schaffhausen-based Manufacture erased logos, removed indexes and reinvented the chronograph by refusing to make it look like a chronograph. The Off-Grid opens up a whole new arena: that of the digital watch. But in the H. Moser & Cie. way, still with the same philosophy: not adding for the sake of adding, but removing: Distractions. The superfluous. Retaining only the essential.

The Off-Grid is a companion for both everyday life and the unexpected. It sleeps when forgotten, then awakens once it is rediscovered. It welcomes you, occasionally teasing you with a curious message. It reminds you that the world does not always speak your language. It helps you find the time on the other side of the planet and tells you when the sun will rise or when the moon will illuminate your evening. It’s there when you need it... then fades away. Without ever becoming intrusive.
Through its skeletonised dial, the Off-Grid reveals an unprecedented architecture in which digital technology naturally converses with traditional watchmaking. Above the screen sits a small domed dial, in Red fumé or Blackor fumé depending on the version, bearing the H. Moser & Cie. logo in transparent lacquer. Everything about the Off-Grid reflects its place in the Moser family: the depth of the fumé dial, the purity of the lines, the proportions of the case, the architecture of the Streamliner and the understated elegance. Its digital interface blends into this world with remarkable ease. The technology never seeks to take centre stage; it simply serves a purpose. Because, while it may be a feat of technology, the Off-Grid is first and foremost a beautiful watch.
There’s no avalanche of notifications. No race to optimal performance. No obsession with data. Only a selection of functions designed to enhance the experience. Because intelligence does not always mean doing more. Sometimes, it means knowing when to stop.
The Off-Grid is neither a mechanical watch nor a smartwatch in the way we understand the term today. It moves between these two worlds, with one foot in each, yet without fully belonging to either. It adopts the codes of H. Moser & Cie. and adds the essence of watchmaking functions in digital form, while rejecting the excesses of both worlds. Like any exploration, the Off-Grid begins within a select circle. Available exclusively in H. Moser & Cie. boutiques and at h-moser.com, it will initially be offered to our existing clients from September 21st to 23rd , before gradually becoming available to the entire Moser community from September 24th.
