Precise lines, yet free in spirit.

There is a certain beauty in restraint — in lines drawn with clarity, in forms reduced to their essence. And yet, at Chopard, even the most rigorous geometry is never still. With its latest Happy Diamonds creations, the Maison explores this subtle tension between structure and freedom, unveiling a series of pendants defined by a refined rectangular silhouette, where the precision of the lines become the stage for movement.

Originally introduced in 2006, the rectangular Happy Diamonds design returns today, with a renewed sense of lightness. Reinterpreted with finesse, its softly bevelled edges capture the light and reflect its intensity. The interior space in which the diamonds dance has also been subtly expanded — offering the diamonds even greater freedom of movement, following even the slightest gesture.

At the heart of each creation lies the philosophy that has defined Happy Diamonds since 1976 —

when, inspired by sunlight shimmering on the spray of a Black Forest waterfall, Chopard freed diamonds from their traditional settings for the very first time.. Decades later, that vision remains intact, carried through each creation as both heritage and intention. Suspended between two sapphire crystals, housed within the Maison’s proprietary gold capsule, the diamonds come to life, unfolding in a luminous choreography that is both intimate and personal.

As Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director, recalls: “I grew up with this idea, first expressed by my mother, that diamonds are happier when they are free. This deeply poetic vision has never left me. Over the years, I have continually reinterpreted it, exploring new forms and proportions, while preserving that essential sense of movement and joy. With these new creations, we wanted to return to a certain purity of line, while giving the diamonds even more space to move, to live, and to resonate with their wearer.”

The new collection unfolds across seven pendants, each one suspended from a newly designed rectangular-link chain, crafted in-house to echo the geometry of the pieces — and conceived to be layered together, inviting playful and more personal combinations.

The collection begins with three compact rectangular pendants (16.5 mm long), crafted in ethical yellow, rose or white gold, each housing three happy diamonds. In white gold, pavé-set diamonds intensify the brilliance, while the purity of the form remains intact.

These are joined by three more elongated interpretations (25.4 mm long), whose proportions lend a quiet confidence. The same trio of diamonds animates this architectural frame, heightening the contrast between structure and spontaneity. Here again, the white gold version is entirely set with diamonds.

Across the diamond-set white gold designs, Chopard introduces for the first time within the collection a bevelled castle setting: a finely sculpted structure inspired by the rhythm of crenellations. Its almost invisible metal framework allows a continuous line of diamonds to appear suspended, as though drawn in light. The result is seamless, fluid, and effortlessly precise.

Completing the ensemble, a high jewellery pendant explores the same codes with greater amplitude. Crafted in ethical white gold within the Maison’s Haute Joaillerie atelier, it extends the rectangular silhouette to 49 mm and features seven happy diamonds. Surrounding them, a meticulous arrangement of trapeze and emerald-cut diamonds traces a luminous frame enhancing the central movement without ever constraining it.

The philosophy of the Happy Diamonds finds its full expression in the Maison’s latest campaign, where Bella Hadid and Liu Wen embody the spirit of freedom and movement, their presence echoing the natural fluidity of happy diamonds and placing movement at the very heart of this new chapter.
