The Hermès H08 watch etches each moment. It is attuned to the pulse of its wearer. Its energy drives their every movement to the rhythm of the world’s beating heart. It resonates with a vital impetus, generating time that is fluid and precise.

Geometric and all-terrain, this watchmaker’s object with a sporting spirit fits seamlessly into the masculine universe of Hermès, where the precision of each cut highlights the sensuality of the materials. Between round and square, its cushion-shaped case with subtle edges dares to juxtapose different forms, materials – titanium, ceramic – and finishes – satin-brushed, sunburst, mirror-polished.

Powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1837 self-winding movement, the collection welcomes two new titanium versions with grained light-coloured dials displaying hours, minutes and seconds. These original interpretations accentuate the audacity present in the font of the dial’s luminescent Arabic numerals along with the singular design of each detail, all the way to the date aperture at 4:30.

The first variation, punctuated with a vibrant orange touch at the tip of the seconds hand, proposes three distinct straps, each secured by a folding clasp. Resolutely robust, titanium asserts itself with a monochrome finish. The rubber straps, with their bold allure, sport candid colours – orange, bleu abysse or black – marrying comfort and dynamism. Finally, the strap’s blue or black webbing provides subtle sophistication through a blend of texture and character.

For the second variation, colour infuses new energy into the dial. The bleu Saint-Cyr numerals catch the light and give the grained grey dial its tempo. Its black ceramic bezel alternates between satin-brushed and polished finishes, complemented by a rubber strap in dark grey or bleu Saint-Cyr. With the Hermès H08 watch, time is beyond measure, anchoring itself in material, always, as it stretches toward infinity.

"The time it takes the light to overcome the night
The time it takes your foot to go a single step
The time
The time
Dum petis, illa fugit.*

The time it takes for space to swallow up the star
The time it takes your arm to plunge into the lake
The time
The time
Quid aspicis? Fugit.**

The time it takes the drop to fall from the rain cloud
The time it takes for your body to cross a line
The time
The time
Dum petis, illa fugit.

The time it takes the ocean to ebb from the shore
The time it takes your hand to catch hold of the oar
The time
The time
Quid aspicis? Fugit.

The time it takes a sequoia to chase the sky
The time it takes your thumb to release the arrow
The time
The time
Dum petis, illa fugit.

The time it takes the butterfly to uncocoon
The time it takes your eye to track the wood pigeon
The time
The time
Quid aspicis? Fugit.

The time it takes the lightning to light up the storm
The time it takes your finger to hold back the cord
The time
The time
Quid aspicis? Fugit.

The time it takes for the hummingbird’s wing to buzz
The time it takes your voice to give rise to the poem
The time
The time
Dum petis, illa fugit.

As you seek it, it flees.
The time it takes a sparrowhawk to close its loop
The time it takes your heart to rest between two beats
The time
The time
Quid aspicis? Fugit.

And the time it takes a star your hand the arrow
For the lightning a cloud and your eye and the loop
And your heart and your heart to stir the wing of time."
