Chronoswiss presents the Neo Digiteur Pastel Code, a fresh and unexpected three- part drop of its mechanical digital icon. Following the return of the Neo Digiteur, Chronoswiss now pushes the concept further into a more playful, contemporary and expressive direction.
The new editions bring soft pastel tones into one of the boldest mechanical displays in modern watchmaking. Each version is limited to 99 pieces only and becomes a mechanical digital statement with a new visual temperature.
The Watch without Hands
The Neo Digiteur continues the story of one of the most unconventional Chronoswiss creations. First introduced by founder Gerd-Rüdiger Lang in 2005, the original Digiteur was a mechanical outlier: a watch without traditional hands, displaying time through sharp windows, powered entirely by gears, discs and mechanical energy.
Twenty years later, Chronoswiss revived the concept with the Neo Digiteur, re- engineering the idea for the Modern Mechanical era. Its display remains deliberately different: jumping hour at 12 o’clock, sweeping minutes in the center and sweeping seconds in a horizontal window at 6 o’clock.
Together, these three indications form a mechanical digital regulator. A regulator without hands. A digital display without electronics. A complication that feels futuristic, but beats entirely analogue.
Pastel, but never Soft
With the Pastel Code editions, Chronoswiss takes the Neo Digiteur into a new colour dimension. The tailored rectangular case, sharp architecture and mechanical digital display remain, but the dial now receives a lighter, more playful attitude.
Rose, Mint and Sky bring a clean pastel language to the watch, creating a strong contrast with the technical display and architectural case shape. The result is softer in colour, but not in character. The dial receives its distinctive matte yet lively finish through a special sandblasting technique, followed by a lacquer treatment that adds depth and subtle movement to the surface.
The Neo Digiteur Rose brings a warm, light pink tone to the mechanical digital display, while the Neo Digiteur Mint introduces a fresh green pastel with a modern edge. The Neo Digiteur Sky adds a soft blue expression, giving the timepiece a clear, airy presence.
Three colours. Three codes. One handless mechanical icon.
The Shape of a Digital Icon
What sets the Neo Digiteur apart immediately is its case. The tailored rectangular stainless-steel construction stays faithful to the spirit of the original Digiteur while feeling sharper, cleaner and more contemporary.
Its barrel-shaped silhouette has been fully reimagined by the Chronoswiss design team at the Atelier Lucerne. Assertive lines, a pronounced profile and polished edges create a sculptural presence on the wrist. A sandblasted horizontal segment on the side of the case adds contrast and lightness to the geometry.
The crown is a modern interpretation of the traditional Chronoswiss onion shape, flattened on the underside for improved ergonomics and visual coherence.
Mechanical Digital Time
Inside the Neo Digiteur Pastel Code beats the hand-wound Chronoswiss Caliber C.85757, named in reference to the original Chronoswiss postal code from 1983. Beating at 3 Hz and offering a 48-hour power reserve, the movement is fitted with a proprietary in-house module developed by Chronoswiss.
This module manages the energy demands of the jumping hour system while driving the smooth progression of the minute and second discs. The result is a rare display architecture that separates time into three mechanical digital indications while remaining fully analogue at its core.
Unlike the first Neo Digiteur editions celebrating the anniversary of the icon, the Pastel Code versions do not feature hand-guilloché movement decoration, but instead a full Côtes de Genève finish. The focus therefore shifts to visual clarity and a contemporary design language. The shaped sapphire crystal caseback windowremains, however, as a reminiscence of the legendary rectangular Fleurier amovements used in the very first Digiteur from 2005.
Not Retro. Re-coded.
